Laboratory Testing Process

IgE testing must be accurate and precise. Immuno Labs performs IgE panels on the best laboratory equipment available. We conduct our testing using fluorescent enzyme immunoassay (FEIA) that measures the concentration of circulating allergen-specific IgE antibodies in serum. This helps to identify specific allergic reactions and, when coupled with a history of exposure and allergic symptom development, may help identify allergic triggers. The testing process begins with the specific antigen being bound to a three-dimensional hydrophilic cellulose polymer, which can bind significantly more allergen than older disk methods. This substrate allows for increased antigen binding and improved sensitivity. Patient serum is mixed with the antigen-bound substrate, permitting antigen-specific patient IgE to complex. Next, the complexed substrate is mixed with an enzyme–IgE conjugate forming a secondary immune complex. Subsequently, a fluorogenic material is applied to the secondary immune complex, which results in the formation of a fluorescent secondary immune complex. Using a fluorometer, the fluorescence is read, and the quantification correlates with the quantity of patient IgE. Immuno Labs IgE testing demonstrates a very high specificity, high efficiency, and high sensitivity. The testing instrumentation we use has over 4,000 scientific articles, which shows its clinical value and why it is championed as “The Gold Standard” for in vitro IgE testing.

See what doctors and patients are saying about our blood tests for mold and food allergies.

“After having followed the recommendations given by Immuno labs and their Immuno 1 Bloodprint, I was pleased to discover that everything that they had claimed would happen did. In particular, my digestion and energy levels improved. I also discovered that Immuno Labs was an originator of many assays for food allergy testing. Accuracy has always been a challenge with food allergy testing. However, in my case, the accuracy of the testing proved itself. It came up with different recommendations and clinical results than I have gotten through other labs. Simply by removing the “correct” offending agents, the burden is taken off of the digestive and immune systems. As Leonardo da Vinci once said, “If you do not rest upon the good foundation of nature, you will labor with little honor and less profit.” How true when applied to accurate food allergy testing. What great advice for all physicians. I would highly recommend that all physicians and their patients contact Immuno Labs to get their Immuno 1 Bloodprint.”

— Dr. Friedman, M.D.

“My name is Joseph Giacalone, and I recently had an Immuno 1 Blood Print done. To say the results have made me healthier would be an understatement. I used to suffer from horrible stomach pains, mood swings, irritability, compulsive eating, and excessive weight gain. I belong to my high school’s varsity track team, and I was unable to run the 110-meter and 300-meter dashes. Even though I appeared to be healthy, I was horribly sick on the inside. All of these symptoms greatly affected my daily life. I simply could not enjoy all of the pleasures that come with being a high school senior. Immuno Labs provided me with the causes of the unhealthy symptoms I was experiencing and gave me a way to change my unhealthy diet. After I received the results of the test, I quickly changed the foods I was eating. The improvement was almost immediate. I no longer suffer from any of the symptoms I was experiencing prior to the test results. Your Food-Blood Allergy test has improved the quality of my life, and words cannot express how grateful I am. Thank you, Immuno Laboratories!”

— Joseph Giacolone
