The fingerstick uses capillary blood from your fingertip. Our test kit contains everything you need to perform the test from the comfort of your own home. Simply use the provided lancet on your finger and allow a few drops of blood to be collected per the specimen collection instructions (detailed below in video and downloadable PDF). The blood is then processed to remove red blood cells, so only the serum is tested just like our venipuncture collection kits. Lab tests are performed on calibrated machines run by trained and licensed lab technicians to provide reliable, reproducible, and clinically relevant results.
